President's Message

It’s hard to believe that the end of the 2016 - 2017 school year is right around the corner.

Teachers across the state are hard at work finishing curriculum, assessing students, and

reflecting on the past year. The board members of TEAI are also reflecting on the past year as

we plan for ITEC 2017. We are working hard to create a valuable and relevant conference that

provides meaningful professional development. Based on your feedback from previous

conferences we have made significant changes to the conference format. Last year, we moved

Saturday’s session to Turner Hall in order to offer more hands-on content. The CAD, Tech Ed,

and Manufacturing labs were all used for great presentations.

We want to continue expanding hands-on content, but we need your help. As a board, we can

reserve conference locations, order food, and set a schedule, but we rely on you for session

content. I want to personally invite you to present at ITEC 2017. Think about that activity,

project, or idea that you love teaching and consider submitting a presentation proposal. Past

feedback suggests that you want topics including, Leadership, 3D Printing, PLTW,

Manufacturing, Robotics, and Small Engines. Do you have other ideas that you haven't seen

presented? We would love to hear about it.

If you have any feedback, questions, comments, or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out

to me or any of the other board members.
